Talent To Teach Further Education is a scheme which aims to raise the profile of teaching in FE as a potential career option amongst
individuals who may never have otherwise considered this. The programme is targeted at second and third year undergraduates, and postgraduates, and,
for the first time this year, it will include a small number of ‘career changers’, being individuals who have skills, experience and qualifications that are valued
by the FE sector, and who are at a stage where they are interested in exploring new career opportunities.
Whilst they have been with us, participants have observed lessons from across the curriculum, taken part in training sessions on Digital Wellbeing, What makes good learning?, & Blended Learning. They have prepared and delivered a micro-teach. They have had a range of talks on different themes (e.g. Safeguarding, ALS, Marketing, Why English & Maths is Important, How Apprenticeships Work & Employer Engagement in FE. They have also had 15 mins micro talks from about 10 people on 'How I got into FE', including both Wayne & Monica.
