The sweet smell of pancakes filled the air at Lambeth College Nursery today as staff and little ones gathered for a flipping fantastic event, the Pancake Bakeoff! 🍽️🥞
Leading the challenge were Pamela and Donna, each ready to show off their skills in the kitchen. Armed with whisks, batter, and plenty of competitive spirit, the pair went head to head in a friendly showdown to create the fluffiest, most delicious pancakes.
With the children watching eagerly, the pressure was on! Flips were attempted, some more successful than others, and the toppings included golden syrup, fresh fruit, and a sprinkle of magic (or maybe just sugar), making each creation a winner in its own right.
We made both sweet and savoury pancakes, giving the children a chance to explore different flavours. All pancakes met dietary needs, making sure everyone could enjoy the fun.
But the real judges? The little ones, of course! Excited giggles and happy taste tests confirmed that both Pamela and Donna had done a brilliant job. The joy of Pancake Day wasn’t just about the competition, it was about sharing laughter, learning through food, and creating special moments with the nursery children.
Events like these make the Lambeth College Nursery a wonderful place for little learners, where every day brings new experiences, creativity, and community spirit. Who won the bakeoff? That’s for the kids to decide, but one thing’s for sure, everyone left with full hearts and happy tummies!
