We are happy to announce that South Bank Colleges participated and won the final of the LBA End of Season College Tournament which took place on the 27th June 2022.
We sent our men's and women's basketball teams to compete in both competitions. Our women’s team played four games and reached the semi-final, playing with composure and great teamwork. We lost in the semi-final but won the medals decider to attain a bronze medal. A great accomplishment in our first full year of female competition.
Our men’s team performed admirably winning every game up to and including the final. A great achievement considering the high level of competition from other teams. We played and beat Riverside, City and Westminster, West London College, Havering, Cardinal Pole and American School of London.
This is a big achievement and testament to the development and work rate of South Bank Colleges learners who made immense sacrifices in terms of time and effort. Special mention goes to the dedication of Coach Amadu Kalleh who has been running the programme for 10 years and is elated to finally bring a trophy back to Lambeth.
