Our L3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art and Design (UAL) students recently participated in an inspiring joint build project at Loughborough Farm, in collaboration with LSBU and LSBU Architecture, as part of the LSBU Group.
This initiative offered a unique opportunity for students to apply their creativity and design skills to a real-world setting. From concept to completion, they worked collaboratively to solve challenges, adapt their ideas, and bring their vision to life. The project combined hands-on experience with problem-solving, offering students a taste of how creative thinking applies in practical contexts.
Beyond the design and build process, the project also encouraged students to explore future pathways. Collaborating with LSBU Architecture provided insight into higher education opportunities, helping students envision potential next steps for their academic and professional journeys.
A Learning Experience Beyond the Classroom
Working at Loughborough Farm offered students a unique perspective on community-focused design and sustainable practices. This enriching experience allowed them to consider the impact of their work on local communities while honing valuable skills that will serve them in their future studies and careers.
The collaboration highlighted the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and innovative thinking—qualities that are key to success in both creative industries and higher education.
We’re incredibly proud of what our students achieved and grateful to our partners at LSBU and Loughborough Farm for making this project such a success.
Stay tuned for more updates on how our Art and Design students continue to thrive and shape their futures.
