If you have always wanted to explore and develop your creative side but didn’t know where to start, this course might just be perfect for you. Exploring the creative world of music, performance, and production, this course helps you find and develop your passion.
Designed to be more hands-on and interactive for those of you who prefer practical study, it will give you the chance to learn about the basics of each area as well as continuously improve your skills through activities.
You’ll be introduced to the equipment and processes used in music, performing, and production art, learn how to record and express ideas, how to research and support a creative idea, how to plan and perform a creative performance, and how to communicate and develop ideas.
This will help you develop your creative thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills - transferable skills that will support you in all aspects of life.

How will you be assessed?
You will be continually assessed in a variety of ways that will be part of your portfolio, including:
- Taking part in performances
- Analysing productions and sharing your thoughts
- Presenting information that you have gathered
- Keeping working notebooks, digital recordings, journals, photos, and videos
Additional information: To complete the Level 1 Diploma, you must complete Units 1-2 of the Award, in addition to Units 3-5 and Unit 6 or 7.

Where can this course take you?
This course will help you develop a strong portfolio of work that could be used to get apprenticeships in related industries, such as music performance, or go directly into entry-level roles in the creative industries.
With this qualification, you could also continue to study for Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications Performing and Production Arts.
